Beautiful Cottage located in Gulf Shores, AL on the west peninsula near Fort Morgan.
This comfortable, cozy cottage is located near the Bon Secour National Wildlife Reserve. It is in a new development in an uncrowded area leaving you feeling that you have journeyed back in time to the days before high-rises and wall-to-wall people. The cottage has three large bedrooms with queen beds and two full baths. All linens are provided. The kitchen is lovely and is fully outfitted with everything you will need. Do bring your cell phone – no phone is provided. There are two TVs providing Dish Network and a DVD player. The screened porch is decorated with a wicker settee and chairs so you can enjoy a mild evening sipping drinks outdoors.
The main pool is a beautiful area with an infant friendly endless side and a Jacuzzi. The pool is heated from March to October so you can enjoy it for an extended period of time. Both pools have been resurfaced (Jan. 2012) and, along with the hot tub, have been converted to salt water systems. Plan on coming down soon to see the surprises in the zero entry area of the large pool. Small kids will love it. The main pool is very close to the unit.
There is a tennis court and outdoor grilling area. There are large areas of public beach access. The beautiful white sugar sands of the gulf beach are just a short walk down Cortez Drive.
If you enjoy fishing, you can saltwater fish in the Gulf of Mexico or fish in Mobile Bay, which has a boat launch area only a couple of miles from the cottage. There is an area for boat parking in the complex.
There are several restaurants in the area. Don't miss the opportunity to take in a sunset and dinner at Tacky Jacks 2 at the marina or if you prefer south of the border atmosphere you'll enjoy Tequila Bay Mexican just a half mile west of the complex on Hwy. 180. There is a restaurant and coffee café at The Beach Club where you can connect to wireless internet. Grocery shopping is available close by at the marina or it’s just 15 minutes to Gulf Shores shopping and restaurants.
